USA to Give Away NASCAR Trip for Two
All USA members through Oct. 15, 2008 are qualified to win Texas Motor Speedway package
NASHVILLE—In November 2008, one lucky member of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) and a guest will head to the Lone Star State for a weekend of NASCAR racing at the Texas Motor Speedway, compliments of the USA and Beretta-USA.
The fully-loaded prize package valued at more than $6,000 includes airfare, three nights lodging, two tickets to the fall 2008 Texas Motor Speedway weekend races along with VIP passes to the Beretta private suite and pit passes. Plus, the winner will receive a brand new U.S. made Beretta American Citizen shotgun.
All USA members age 18 or older as of October 15, 2008 are automatically qualified to win, and the winner will be chosen on October 17, 2008. Union members of the AFL-CIO and their families can join the USA online at www.UnionSportsmen.org or by phone at 1-877-USA-2211 for their chance to head to the races.
Benefits of the USA, North America's premier hunting and fishing club exclusively for union members, retirees and their families, include chances to win hunting and fishing gear and trips along with special packages like the Texas Motor Speedway giveaway.
Mark Shughart, a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local 2, was the lucky winner of the Texas Motor Speedway package in 2007. "Winning this trip gave me the opportunity to experience a NASCAR race first-hand in grand style. Being six to ten feet behind the pit wall watching the cars fly by was unbelievable!" said Shughart.
"There are many hunters and anglers who enjoy racing as well as the outdoors, and we’re very excited to partner with Beretta once again to award a USA member with a NASCAR dream trip and a fantastic American made gun," said Fred Myers, Executive Director of the USA. "Beretta has been extremely supportive of the USA by providing a $25 gift certificate to every member and donating firearms for the USA's Gun-a-Month program as well as the Texas Motor Speedway trips. We are proud to have Beretta on our side, and we look forward to working with them in the future to make membership in the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance an even greater value."
